Canoeing Camp “Feel the flow”

Event:Canoeing Camp “Feel the flow”
Audience:Children
Partner:Children and Youth Sports School of Canoeing in Mingachevir
Dates:September 2 - 4, 2022

About the Project

Canoeing camp “Feel the flow” was completed in Mingachevir. The main goal of the camp was to support the physical development of the participants in accordance with the educational directions of Forest School Azerbaijan, to increase interest in canoeing and rowing, which are the water sports, and to give them the opportunity to learn in water, under the sun and in the air, which are the main elements of nature.

During the three-day camp, the children were taught canoeing by Namig Azizov, teacher of the Children and Youth Sports School of Canoeing in Mingachevir. First, the children received detailed information about canoeing and rowing, and then they went in for canoeing themselves under the supervision of the officers of Ministry of Emergency Situations.

In addition, in our camp, the children attended scuba diving classes with aquanaut Khagani Khalilov, who has been diving for over 20 years. Diving provides children with the opportunity to discover the beauty of the aquatic environment and encourages them to be sensitive to nature, getting to know the flora and fauna of the sea.

The participants were also involved in various social, emotional, physical, and intellectual activities in accordance with the educational concept of Forest School.
