Birdwatching Expedition

Event:Birdwatching Expedition
Audience:Children
Partner:Azerbaijan Ornithological Society
Date:October 15, 2022

About the Project

Forest School Azerbaijan organized a Birdwatching expedition together with professional specialists from the Azerbaijan Ornithological Society.

During the expedition, which was attended by schoolchildren, the children learned about the various species of animals and birds living in the territory of the Shirvan National Park and had the opportunity to closely observe many of them.

During the expedition, the professional expert of the Azerbaijan Ornithological Society, Elchin Sultanov, provided the children with detailed information about ornithological activities, the rules for using binoculars, counting birds, and bird species living in the National Park.

Every year, Forest School Azerbaijan organizes birdwatching expeditions for schoolchildren.

The main purpose of the expeditions is to increase the interest in this type of activity among the younger generation and to acquaint them with our reserves.
